President Obama said on Monday that, "if we do not act swiftly and boldly, most experts believe that we could lose millions of jobs next year". Larry Sabato, a presidential scholar at the University of Virginia, said "this is really unprecedented. But it's an unprecedented situation, ... Obama is doing what the public and the markets demand be done -- and that is to show that the next president is really in charge before he even takes the oath of office."
With the unpopularity of the current administration, I think it is a good thing that Obama is getting ready to take power on January 20th, 2009 and implement some economic measure to cure this ailing economy.
